Adam Mossoff

Professor of Law, George Mason University; Senior Fellow, Hudson Institute; IP and innovation historian and policy expert

Adam Mossoff is Professor of Law at Antonin Scalia Law School, George Mason University.  His academic research has been cited by the Supreme Court, by the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and by federal agencies. Professor Mossoff has been invited to testify several times before the Senate and the House on proposed patent legislation, and he has spoken at numerous congressional staff briefings.


His writings on patent law and policy have appeared in The New York Times, Forbes and many other media outlets. He is a member of the Academic Advisory Committee of the Copyright Alliance and has served as past Chair of the IP Committee of the IEEE-USA. He is a Senior Fellow at the Hudson Institute, where he chairs Hudson's Forum for Intellectual Property, and is a Visiting Fellow at the Heritage Foundation.
